Spec Markets Integrates iSAM Securities' Radar and Apex to Modernise Risk and Execution Infrastructure
Spec Markets is combining network-level risk intelligence with scalable execution infrastructure, giving its risk and dealing teams visibility and execution controls that few other brokers can rival.
Spec Markets, a multi-asset CFD and forex broker regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, announced the integration of iSAM Securities' Radar risk analytics platform and Apex bridge into its trading operations.
The Spec group maintains a broad regulatory presence, including an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and a financial services licence in South Africa.
The integration forms part of Spec Markets' wider growth strategy, putting in place the infrastructure needed to support increasing client volumes, expanding its business and operating more efficiently as it scales.
Radar gives Spec Markets' dealing and risk teams greater visibility into client exposure, trading behaviour and profitability, while Apex provides the execution and liquidity infrastructure needed to manage pricing, routing and hedging at scale. Together, the platforms are designed to help Spec Markets grow its business without sacrificing control over risk or execution quality.
Closing a Blind Spot in Cross-Broker Risk
A central component of the integration is Network Alerts, a Radar feature that identifies linked accounts and behavioural patterns across iSAM Securities broader network of brokers. The tool addresses activity that can be impossible for any single broker to identify in isolation, including clients spreading hedged positions across multiple brokers or using different accounts as part of the same underlying trading strategy.
For a growing broker, this becomes increasingly important as client numbers and trading volumes increase. Radar gives Spec Markets an additional layer of visibility, helping its teams identify potentially costly behaviour earlier and make more informed decisions around how client flow is managed.
With regard to execution, Apex manages pricing, liquidity routing, hedging, and execution configuration, with infrastructure built to hold up during periods of elevated market volatility - the conditions under which execution quality most directly affects client outcomes and broker profitability.
Building Risk Infrastructure Ahead of the Curve
Spec Markets' decision to deploy institutional-grade risk tooling reflects a deliberate choice: building the infrastructure to manage exposure before client volume grows further, rather than retrofitting controls under pressure once problems have already materialised. That approach stands in contrast to a common pattern across the retail CFD industry, where risk infrastructure investment often lags client acquisition - a gap that becomes more expensive to close the longer it persists.
The move places Spec Markets alongside a growing group of brokers adopting network-level risk analytics as standard infrastructure, at a moment when regulators and clients alike are placing greater scrutiny on how brokers manage execution quality and exposure at scale.
“The best time to strengthen risk and execution infrastructure is before a broker’s growth exposes its blind spots. By combining Radar’s network-level intelligence with Apex’s execution controls, Spec Markets is putting in place the visibility and infrastructure it needs to scale with confidence.”
