iSAM Securities Launches CFDs on Futures to Meet Growing Client Demand

The U.S. dollar fell broadly amid speculation of potential U.S. involvement in Japan’s FX intervention. Volatility picked up after Japan’s top currency chief, Vice Minister of Finance Atsushi Mimura, said authorities in Tokyo would respond in close coordination with their counterparts in Washington.

Asian stocks climbed to a record, and the dollar held its losses as global investors favoured non-US assets amid policy unpredictability and geopolitical risks. Precious metals also set new all-time highs. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 0.4%, and a gauge of emerging-market stocks also hit a record high.

Global stock markets rallied strongly as U.S. President Donald Trump backed away from his threat to impose tariffs on European countries over the Greenland dispute. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump announced a “framework” for a future deal involving Greenland and the broader Arctic region, following discussions with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
